This project was done during my study abroad at LAB University of Applied Sciences in Lahti, Finland. We redesigned the office of Lahden Talot which is a real estate company based in Lahti.
The office was originally divided into small rooms for the each employees so we demolished the walls to make it into an open plan. Our concept was to create an open space which integrates into the beautiful nature in Lahti. The space is dedicated to be able to move around easily and considered an adaptable environment for the employees.
We also designed furniture for the flexible uses. This versatile bookshelf was made for the rest area. They can be placed differently depending on the space and the users, which also functions as a backrest.
This storage box was made for the office use where employees can store their files and paper works. It is good for this kind of open office where people don't have their own desk so they can take their box around the office. Some boxes got wheels at the bottom so if they have a lot of stuff, it is easy for them to move around. The top of the wheeled box can be functioned as a desk.
