My design intent is to create a space that is suitable for any height. My client is a couple who are both in their 30s, wife has dwarfism and husband with an average height. My concept is versatility that is multi-functional and adjustable, which can be adapted into many ways depending on individuals' needs and uses. Inspired by Japanese traditional houses, I tried to keep everything as flat as possible and adjustable. Most of the traditional Japanese Houses use sliding doors to allow a room to be open or divided. The Sink-in dining table provides a leg space as they were sitting on a regular chair. Elevated floor plan is intended to create storage spaces under the floor, which requires less furniture. Kitchen has height adjustable cabinets that can be controlled by its switch on the counter top. These versatile elements are also brought into the exterior where the blinds can be controlled by hands as it rotates and slides to the side.
